Ming brought a polished Resume and a carefully written Cover Letter to the Interview. The Candidate looked calm until the Employer and the Recruiter both stared with serious faces.
The Position had a long list of Requirement items: Experience, Skill, and the right Qualification. Ming swallowed hard, then set down a Reference list and a neat Portfolio while pretending his Background was perfectly heroic.
The Recruiter asked whether the Application could beat the Deadline. Ming nodded too fast and spilled coffee on the table, which somehow made his “Professional” smile even more convincing.
In the end, the team offered him a Hiring Opportunity. Ming left laughing, realizing that the hardest part of job hunting was not the questions, but staying calm enough to look ready.
Word list: Competitive.
